Exception: Applicants, who are enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in Turkey (including open education programs), do not have to pay for the application fee.
Refund: Applicants who want to get their application fee back within the application period should apply to Graduate Schools with "Payment Refund Application Form (Ödeme İadesi Başvuru Formu)". The forms should be filled online and be submitted along with the transaction receipts (via email or in-person). The deadline for submitting the form is the same date with the deadline for applications.
- Obtain a notarized or attested transcript in English or Turkish.
- e-Devlet transcripts are accepted.
- For Ph.D. applications, BOTH undergraduate and graduate transcripts are required.
- METU students/graduates may use transcripts from the student portal (Student Information 61).
Two references must be submitted.
- Enter referee emails in the online system.
- Referees will receive a link active for 48 hours.
- Hard copies are not required.

- Awards, scholarships, and publications.
