Short-Term International Scholarship Is Available for Ottoman History, General Turkish History, Turkology, Turkish Language and Literature and Turkish Culture

"YÖK International Programme", which has been initiated by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK), aims to bring PhD students and researchers from the world's elite universities to Türkiye to conduct research at international standard in the fields of Ottoman History, General Turkish History, Turkology, Turkish Language and Literature or Turkish Culture. In this context, a monthly scholarship will be granted at METU for one or two semesters to two international PhD students and one researcher.

The overseas candidates who are PhD students are required to be at their doctoral thesis stage and the researcher should have completed his/her PhD thesis within the last two years in the universities ranked in the top 700 in the last three years in the world university rankings conducted by University Ranking by Academic Performance (URAP), Times Higher Education (THE), Academic Ranking of World Universities (Shanghai) and World University Rankings (QS).

The eligible candidates who would show interest in applying to this programme are expected to submit their detailed CVs and letters of intent via e-mail with the subject line "YÖK International Programme" to sbem@metu.edu.tr until 4 May 2023.
